I am thrilled to announce that I am hosting a special lingerie sewing event this Fall. There will be THREE 3x hour sessions held over 3 weeks so you will have time to finish sewing each pantie between sessions before starting the next one. The 3 pantie patterns will be different as I want to give you the opportunity of trying out 3 different pantie styles and a bunch of different lingerie sewing techniques on your quest to find your favourite, most comfortable and prettiest/sexiest pantie!
This is a NEW class. I have not offered classes on any of these patterns/styles until now.
The 3 sessions will be held on Zoom where you will be able to watch me showing you how to sew elastics and much more as we make 3 different pairs of panties - one each week of the sewalong.
I will be right there LIVE on Zoom to answer your questions in real time. You can sew confidently with me almost literally at your elbow!
Important: I highly recommend you attend all 3 sessions to gain maximum benefit from the sew-along but I will record the sew-along sessions so you can watch afterwards if you have an emergency that prevents you attending. Or you just want to replay the sew-along as you make more pantie projects - as a reminder.

- Advance pre-recorded video to get the measuring and sizing sorted out before the start of the sewalong. However, we will cut the kit fabric during the sewalong as I want to explain about stretch and help you have the most economical cutting layout. Email support for queries if necessary.
- Comprehensive sewalong tuition with expert teacher and lingerie sewer, Liz Thompson. This will include pre-recorded video, sewalong Zoom time (total of 9 hours) as well as tuition and Q&A recordings made during the 3 zoom sewalong sessions (for your future reference).

The 3 pantie patterns have been specifically chosen as they offer different styles and lingerie sewing techniques that you will learn during the sewalong:
- Full brief: You will be able to choose between low rise/bikini, mid rise and high rise/full pantie styles. We will add fabric bands to the leg openings and to the waist. Minimal elastic is needed on this style so it will be super comfy to wear. Suitable for sizes Waist: 23.6 - 52.5 inches or 60-133cm Hips: 33.9-63 inches or 86-160cm. The size range is XXS to 4XL.
- Medium rise Anti-chafe Shortie which can either be worn as underwear or as workout/jogging wear when made in an appropriate fabric. The kit fabric will include fabric and picot elastic suitable for underwear but you will be able to sew it again in different fabrics later if you wish. Suitable for sizes Waist: 23.6 - 52.5 inches or 60-133cm Hips: 33.9-63 inches or 86-160cm. The size range is XXS to 4XL.
- Bikini Cut Petal pantie is a hacked combo of 2 patterns to make a very feminine and pretty low rise bikini cut pantie with a pretty flower panel finished with elastic on the edges. Size range 0-20: suitable for sizes Waist 24-38 inches or 61-97cm. Hips: 34 -48 inches or 86-122cm.
You will learn the following:
- Measuring and determining the size to sew for each pattern.
- Best practices for pattern layout and cutting out the panties. Hints and tips for success.
- What needles, thread, machine feet and stitches to use for best results.
- How to apply picot elastic
- How to apply enclosed knitted pantie elastic
- How to apply Fold over elastic (FOE)
- How to apply fabric bands instead of elastic to finish leg and/or waist openings.
- All panties include cotton gussets for hygiene and comfort - you will learn the secrets to neat and enclosed gusset seams.
- How to construct an anti chafe/shortie (short leggings). Great for comfort, walking, jogging and working out.
- How to alter a pantie pattern to raise or lower the rise - turn a bikini pantie into a full pantie or vice versa?
- How to add extra bum coverage if a first go at a new pattern does not give you enough on the back.
- Liz's secrets to pantie sewing success will be discussed and shown. She will share labour and time saving tricks.
